Your PAP device is designed to provide many years of use, with proper care, of course. The only regular maintenance is to replace your filters once or twice a month. Your CPAP technician has shown you where these are located, and how to replace them. You also have received a User’s Manual, which is handy to check on the operation and use of the device.
It is important to keep all the supplies clean! Using either mild liquid soap or a capful of white vinegar, 1:10 ratio with diluted in warm water, rinse the mask and hoses, then allow to air dry.

Mask:
It is of utmost importance to clean your mask and cushion/pillow daily. The mask absorbs all of the facial oils and can deteriorate very quickly if it is not washed daily.
Daily Instructions: Separate all of the mask parts. Take off the mask headgear and set aside. With some liquid soap and warm water, wash the mask frame and cushion or pillows and rinse well. After both items are well rinsed, set on a towel and allow to air dry. Once completely dried, put all of the mask parts back together again.
Weekly Instructions: The mask headgear should be washed once a week.
Please hands wash only. Please DO NOT put in the laundry machine, as the straps will lose their shape. Wash with liquid soap and warm water. Hang to air dry.

Tubing:
Please make sure to wash in the morning so that the tubing has ample time to dry.
Weekly Instructions: Place a small pump of liquid soap in the tubing and run warm water through the tubing until all of the soap is washed out. Hang the tubing on a towel rack to air dry. Note: It is okay if there is a little bit of water in the hose before use, but it should be mostly dry.

Water Chamber:
Daily Instructions: Fill with distilled water and after each night of use, empty the water out and replace with fresh distilled water.
Weekly Instructions: Once a week, fill a small tub with warm water and place one tablespoon of white vinegar in the water. In that solution, place the entire water chamber and let sit for 5 minutes. Please make sure to take the lid off of the water chamber. After 5 minutes has passed, take the water chamber and put a pump of liquid soap and rinse thoroughly with warm water. Once fully rinsed, set on a towel and allow to air dry.

Filters:
Disposable Filters : Your new device may come with Disposable white filters This filter should be replaced once or twice a month.
Non-Disposable Filters: Your new device may come with NON-Disposable filter. This filter should be replaced once every 3 months of once every 6 months.

Note- Please be sure to wash all of your supplies in the morning so that everything has ample time to dry. And lastly, NEVER carry or transport your device with a full water chamber. This applies to any traveling you do with your device. Always empty it out and dry well before traveling with the machine. Otherwise, water damage can occur.
